Re-writes

With any new show, there are inevitably changes the authors wish to make once the show has seen the light of day on stage and in front of an audience. 'CHURCHILL - The Musical' is no exception.

Changes to the stage play have now been made, all with a view to making the dialogue and the pace of the show flow smoother. Some

scenes have been shortened, some have been extended and one or two that the authors felt didn't work quite as originally envisaged have been dropped altogether.

There are now two completely new scenes - one during Act One (with a new high energy song and dance number) focusing on the lighter aspects of rationing during the

Second World War, and set in London's Petticoat Lane. A much later scene celebrates the joy and relief centered around VE Day.

Both of these scenes have new up-tempo songs and both will incorporate the fast paced skill of the dancers, with a certain amount of acrobatics and juggling being required from the cast.

To counterbalance the new material, some of the old scenes have been either altered or deleted, and one of the songs has bitten the dust, with the overall length of the show having been slightly reduced.

With all the changes taken on board, 'CHURCHILL - The Musical' has changed from simply being 'Brilliant' to being 'Sensational'.
